We will have our first Late Start of the year this Wednesday, August 20.  On Tuesday, August 19, and Friday, August 22, we will be on modified 1 hour PM assembly schedules.  Tuesday will be Student Handbook meetings.  On Friday, Student Council is hosting a welcome back assembly.

High School Open House will be on Monday, August 25, from 6:00 to 7:45 pm.  Parents, please get a copy of your student's schedule from PowerSchool to follow and meet the teachers!

​If your student is interested in taking the PSAT, please have them contact Robin Beam, Testing Coordinator, in the Student Center. The cost is $20.  You may pay with a check to DCHS.

Any 10th-12th grade boy interested in trying out for the basketball team should report to the PAAC on Wednesday, August 20, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm for tryouts.

Freshman Frenzy Week is a time for all DCHS students to dress up to show school spirit!  The week will be August 25-29.  The dress up days are:
Monday - Nerd Day
Tuesday - Stoplight Day (Red is taken, Yellow is complicated, Green is single)
Wednesday - Preps vs. Good Ole Boys and Girls
Thursday - School Photo on Top/Pajamas on Bottom
Friday - Thrift Store Prom
The MORP Dance will be held on Friday, August 29, from 8:00 to 10:00 pm in Alumni Hall.  The cost is $5.
