I  am happy to be in my second year at Deer Creek. This will be my 8th year of teaching and coaching. I will be teaching Oklahoma History, and coaching varsity football and varsity girls basketball.
I grew up in Sulphur, OK. I played football, basketball, and track and was a member of the FFA. I graduated high school in 2004 and then went to college at Oklahoma State University.
While at OSU, I was very fortunate to have one of the best jobs any college student could have by working for the OSU football team. I was an equipment manager for over 2 years working directly with the players and coaches and traveling for games as well. i graduated from OSU in the fall of 2008 with a Bachelors degree in Wildlife Ecology/Conservation Science.
After graduating, I had a change of heart on switching careers. I moved to Texas and started my focus on a teaching certification. Once I completed my certification I started my first teaching job at Otto Middle School in Plano,TX.  I worked at Plano I.S.D. for 5 years before moving back to Oklahoma to be closer to family. I was a teacher and coach at Newcastle High School before having the opportunity to join Deer Creek.
