I am excited about the opportunity with the students at Deer Creek High School this year. I have had many different opportunities in life. I worked as a park ranger and then as a research assistant during college. Following by Bachelor's degree I worked as an academic advisor at the University of Florida for eight years and completed Master's degree is in Environmental Education & Communication. I look forward to bringing together my experiences to create an engaging and safe learning environment.

I love science. It is an exciting and ever changing field of study. While memorization is an essential part of education, my goal is for students to be able to apply critical thinking skills and scientific practices to real world scenarios and problems. They will do this through a series of hands-on activities where they will see and experience the scientific process. These skills will allow students to be life-long learners and better prepares them to be successful in college.

Looking forward to a fun year. Go Antlers!!
